For my first project in Digital Art 2 I want to use Mad-mapper to create a live performance that shows the theme of the loss of innocence through videos that both make me feel shocked and nostalgic. The videos I will use will come from old TV shows and commercials along with movies. I will contrast these lighthearted videos with politically focused videos that display some of the drastic events that have happened throughout America’s history. By contrasting these videos I hope to inspire my viewers to fight for the lives of America’s future generations. I also want to instill a sense of nostalgia that reminds the viewers of how perfect the world seemed when we were children. I also want to show how our loss of innocence is a privilege and that many children do not get to choose when they lose their innocence.
